Basic Bible truths in every lesson
In addition to the Bible story, each lesson includes Bible truths which teach
and review basic doctrine through questions that children can understand
and remember. As they answer simple questions such as Who
is Jesus? Who wrote the Bible? and Is all of
the Bible true? children learn the fundamentals
of the Christian faith and grow in their knowledge of God and His Word.
Teacher training in every Teacher
Guide
Every Teacher Guide begins with valuable instruction for both new and
experienced teachers. Procedures are suggested for telling Bible stories,
teaching new songs and memory verses, and even managing a classroom.
Other topics include teaching children how to pray and leading children
to Christ. Throughout the curriculum are more helpful ideas and suggestions
for effective teaching.
Emphasis on learning
A life that is focused on God is one that is full of joy — and that is
the focus of the Joyful Life Sunday school curriculum. Our goal is not to entertain
but to teach the Bible in a way that children will learn and remember for life.
We believe that the Bible itself is “entertaining” and, what is
more important, that it is relevant to our lives today. Centered on the Word
of God, this program not only interests children through colorful visuals and
exciting Bible narratives, but it also educates them in the ways of the Lord
and molds their lives for Christ.
Built-in review to ensure learning
The Joyful Life program features a unique built-in review to ensure that children
remember previous lessons and that the Scriptural principles they have learned
remain with them. Every lesson includes time for review and specific material
for that time. This applies not only to the Bible lessons, but also to songs,
verses, and Bible truths.
